Thank you for your participation in the 8th National Spinal Cord Injury Conference, October 17-19, 2018 at the Scotiabank Convention Center, 6815 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

This conference is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation – Association canadienne de médecine physique et de réadaptation.

Documents Required Prior to Conference
All presenters in non-commercial sessions (symposium, lecture, workshop, roundtable, oral, poster, SIG) are required to read and complete the following documents:

  1. Declaration of Conflict of Interest Form
  2. Session/Presentation Title and Learning Objectives

CPD Requirements for Your Presentation
At the beginning of your presentation, you must verbally notify the audience of any real or apparent conflict(s) of interest that may have a direct bearing on the subject matter of the program. As well, at the beginning of your presentation you must identify the learning objectives specific to your presentation which should also be inserted into your slides. If you are a speaker in a session with multiple presenters, please also review the overall learning objectives for the session that have been provided by the Chair.

Your presentation requires a minimum of 25% of interactivity. You may choose a variety of formats for interactivity, e.g. case studies for the presentation, small group activities within workshops, or of course, question and answer periods.

Feedback will be solicited from the participants and will include and evaluation of clarity, organization, value, achievement of learning objectives for each session. You will receive a summary of your evaluation following the event, for your CV and/or teaching and academic portfolio.

All presenters are required to make their own accommodation arrangements. All scientific sessions will be held at theScotiabank Convention Center with a room block at the Marriott on the Falls 6755 Fallsview Boulevard Niagara Falls, ON L2G 3W7.  (there is also a small block of accessible rooms at the Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites. Registration Fee
All speakers are asked to register for the conference. Presenters in CPD-accredited sessions receive complimentary registration for the day of their speaking commitment. We encourage all presenters to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the full conference. The CSCI-RA conference is the premier annual meeting focusing on SCI in Canada.
